TST Announces 2024 Festival Details

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Burnley FC, Inter, Manchester City, Villarreal Among Clubs Elevating TST Fan Festival Experience

CARY, N.C. – May 30, 2024 – The Soccer Tournament, the 7v7 world championship being played at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC, June 5-10, today announced their programming schedule for their first “TST Around The World” festival, which includes food and drinks representing TST’s participating teams from across the globe, autograph sessions, flyovers, youth soccer clinics, live music, the 2023/24 Premier League trophy, and more. Some of the highlights of the festival include:

Food and Drink with a International Flavor: At the heart of TST’s festival are food and drink options from countries represented in this year’s TST field, including Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, and the Caribbean Islands. Several participating European clubs will make food and beverage available within their activation stands. Among the highlights include German club Borussia Dortmund’s partnership with the Wandering Wolf Food Truck to serve authentic German bratwurst and beer, Spanish club Villarreal’s partnership with De la Costa Sangria to bring a taste of the Mediterranean coast, and Como-Cagliari’s partnership with a custom Italian ice popsicle maker. Como-Cagliari will also be featuring its popular Aperol Spritz. In addition, Lawrence Barbeque and Bull Burger and Brewery will offer local fare representing North Carolina.

The Pat McAfee Show Live at TST: The Pat McAfee Show will broadcast live on ESPN on Wednesday June 5 and Thursday June 6 from 12p – 3p.

Family Activities: Clubs will be hosting giveaways, autograph sessions, youth soccer clinics, and cooking classes. Au Vodka Swans, Hashtag United, Villarreal, Inter Milan, US Women, Bayern Munich, Burnley FC, and Wrexham Red Dragons will all be among the teams hosting free autograph sessions throughout the tournament. Como-Cagliari will be hosting a kids pasta cooking class on Saturday, June 8. Villarreal will be hosting a free youth soccer clinic on Sunday June 9 for all children in attendance for Session 8. 

Manchester City Brings Premier League Trophy To TST: English Premier League champions Manchester City will also be bringing this year’s Premier League trophy! TST will also mark the world debut of its kit for next season, as Sergio Agüero’s “Agüero Team” will be donning the 2024/25 Man City kits.

Nutmeg: TST will be debuting its new signature summer cocktail “The Nutmeg” at the Nutmeg Bar located in the northeast corner of the stadium. Similar to US Open’s now famous Honey Deuce, the Nutmeg will feature a spin on the traditional vodka and lemonade. 

Serie A and Inter To Collaborate on Autograph Signings: Italy’s top soccer league will host interactive fan opportunities with team members from Inter Milan’s TST club. Among other activities, legends Georgios Karagounis and Lucio will be made available for an autograph signing on July 7 from 6:30-7:30 pm.

Au Vodka Swans To Create Music Garden: Au Vodka Swans will be hosting a music garden with live music throughout the day, featuring sets from DJs and more. 

Local Air Force Base To Perform Flyover at TST: Airmen from the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina will perform two F-15E flyovers during the course of TST. The first flyover will take place at noon on June 5 and the second will be before the start of the championship doubleheader on June 10. 

Soccer.com and Adidas to Provide TST Retail Options: Soccer.com will feature pop-up shops throughout the park. The main store, which will be located in the food & fan village, will sell team merchandise, fan gear, and the newest cleats, in addition to hosting a number of autograph sessions. Adidas will also showcase its newest innovations.

  • Mitre Soccer Ball Give Away (80 premium Mitre Ultimax Pro footballs will be thrown into the crowd throughout the night – balls retail at $162.99 each)
