Far East United has a group of experienced veterans from many countries across Asia including the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Led by legendary Filipino footballer Anton Del Rosario, Far East United has attracted top talent across Asia, including Charyl Chappius and Greg Nwokolo. Far East United finished second in Group D and was one of 16 teams to advance to the knockout round, beating West Ham United along the way. Unfortunately, their tournament ended in the Round of 16 to Israeli Premier League team Hapoel Tel Aviv.
