Villita means a little village and that is exactly what this team represents. Their team consists of pros, ex pros, college players, and street level players. This squad started out playing in Sunday leagues and enrolling in small tournaments, but once they saw the success they wanted to step it up a notch. In group play Villita FC went 1-2 beating the Wolverhampton Wanderers of the Premier League 6-3 before losing to the DMV Diplomats and group winners Blade & Grass FC.
Sire 7
Sire 7 (formerly known as Villita FC) is returning to Cary, North Carolina this summer to participate in the second ever TST. These guys were one of the most exciting teams in the entire field last year and with some strong additions like Stephen Ireland, it wouldn’t surprise any of us to see Sire 7 come home with the $1 million!
